Randy Wray: Travelogue

15 Orient is delighted to announce the opening of Travelogue; Randy Wray's first solo exhibition with the gallery. Featuring thirteen paintings and three bronzes, the show represents the most comprehensive exhibition of the artist's work in New York in 15 years.
Painter and sculptor Randy Wray (b. 1965) lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and received his B.F.A. from the Maryland Institute College of Art. His residencies include the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and the Marie Walsh Sharpe Space Program.
Wray’s work has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions including at the Weatherspoon Art Museum, Greensboro, NC; Camargo Vilaça, São Paulo, BR; White Columns, New York, NY; and Greenville County Art Museum, Greenville, SC. Group exhibitions include MoMA PS1, New York, NY; Cranbrook Art Museum, Bloomfield Hills, MI; Socrates Sculpture Park, New York, NY; and Kohler Arts Center, Sheboygan, WI. He is the recipient of awards including a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Gottlieb Grant, a NYFA Painting Fellowship, a Lillian Orlowsky and William Freed Grant and the Inaugural Irving Sandler Prize.
The artist’s works are represented in museum collections including the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL; Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus, OH; Greenville County Art Museum, Greenville, SC; Museum of Modern Art, Rio de Janeiro, BR; Rubin Museum of Art, New York, NY; Start Museum, Shanghai, CN; and the Weatherspoon Art Museum, Greensboro, NC. Corporate collections include Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase Bank, Neuberger Berman and Progressive.
